Welcome to The Greek Directory™ (“TGD,” “we,” “us,” “our”, or "the Directory"). By accessing or using thegreekdirectory.org (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, business owners, and anyone submitting or claiming listings.

2. Description of the Service

The Greek Directory™ is an informational business directory focused on Greek and Greek-related businesses, organizations, and services. We operate as a neutral platform and do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any listed business.

Listings may be submitted by users and are reviewed and published at our discretion.

3. Eligibility & Children’s Use

The Service is intended for users 13 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

4. Listings & Submissions

4.1 Submitting Listings

At The Greek Directory, we believe that every business should have a listing; therefore, listings can be submitted without charge.
All listings are reviewed and approved by The Greek Directory Team before publication.
We reserve the right to edit, reject, delay, or remove any listing for any reason.

4.2 Claimed Listings

Business owners may claim their listing.
Claimed listings may be edited by the owner, subject to these Terms.
Verification processes may be implemented to confirm ownership.

5. Paid Tiers & Placement

Listings are free by default.
Business owners may optionally purchase paid tiers that provide enhanced placement, visibility, badges (such as “Verified” or “Featured”), and expanded analytics access.
Paid tiers affect placement and features only, not endorsement or accuracy guarantees.
All payments are non-refundable.
Pricing and features are subject to change.

6. Analytics & Insights

The Greek Directory™ collects internal analytics related to listing interactions.
Claimed listing owners may access analytics for their own listings.
Higher tiers may unlock additional analytics features or historical scope.
We do not guarantee analytics completeness or uninterrupted availability.

7. Content Ownership & License

Listing submitters and business owners retain ownership of their content.
By submitting or claiming a listing, you grant The Greek Directory™ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for directory, promotional, and commercial purposes.
Paid tiers explicitly authorize promotional and revenue-related use connected to the listing.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

Provide false or misleading information
Impersonate individuals or businesses
Engage in fraud or scams
Upload copyrighted or unlawful content
Post hate speech, harassment, or adult content
Attempt to interfere with the Service or its analytics

9. Moderation & Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

Remove or modify listings
Suspend or terminate accounts
Restrict access to features
Take action without notice

Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion.

10. Third-Party Links & External Sites

Listings may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for:

External content
Business practices
Transactions or communications outside the Service

Use third-party sites at your own risk.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no warranties regarding:

Accuracy of listings
Business quality
Availability of services
Outcomes of interactions or transactions

Businesses listed on TGD do not represent endorsements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Greek Directory™ shall not be liable for:

Indirect or consequential damages
Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
Business disputes or losses

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid to us by you in the previous 12 months, or $100 if no payment was made.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
